Submit a Paper

Paper submissions are required to follow the format specified for papers in the Springer CCIS volumes. Authors submitting to AusDM should refer to the Springer CCIS author’s guide where LaTeX styles and Word templates may be found. LaTeX is the recommended typesetting package. Additionally, please keep in the mind the page limitations for various tracks after formatting to CCIS requirements:

  • Academic Submissions – Papers submitted in these tracks will be reviewed in the same review process. All accepted papers will be published in the same proceedings, regardless of category. The special tracks will be grouped into sessions at the conference. The page limit for these tracks is 12 pages.
    • Research Track – Regular academic submissions can be made in this track, reporting on research progress pertaining to any facet of data mining.
    • Image Data Mining – This track aims to showcase the distinctive theoretical concepts, new mining models and cutting-edge mining technology related to image and video data.
    • Identification Through Data Mining – This track aims to showcase the recent advances in identification systems driven by data mining techniques.
    • Mobile and Sensor Network Data Mining – This track aims to showcase the recent advances in data mining techniques in mobile and sensor networks.
    • Statistics in Data Science – This track aims to showcase a range of submissions, from methodological contributions to case studies involving statistics based modellings or decisions making process in data science.
  • Industry Submissions – These tracks are intended for submissions related to industry applications of data mining techniques. These papers will be published in the same proceedings as the academic submissions.
    • Application Track – Submissions can be made in the Application Track to report on specific data mining implementations and experiences in government and industry projects. Submissions in this category can be up to 12 pages. The review process for these submissions will also be double-blind. A special committee made of industry representatives will assess industry submissions.
    • Industry Showcase – Submissions from industry and government on an analytics solution that has raised profits, reduced costs and/or achieved other important policy and/or business outcomes. Submissions in this track are limited to a one page abstract. The review process for these submissions will also be double-blind.

LaTeX is the recommended typesetting package. The electronic submissions must be in PDF only, and made through the AusDM’18 EasyChair submission portal.
